North American anime distributor Funimation announced on Monday that it will stream 13 new streaming titles during the Summer season:
Funimation also confirmed that it will continue streaming One Piece, Fairy Tail, Ninja Slayer, Ultimate Otaku Teacher, and The Heroic Legend of Arslan. The company said it is streaming 20 titles this season, leaving two more to be announced.

Sorata Akiduki's original shōjo manga Akagami no Shirayuki-hime (Snow White with the Red Hair) revolves around Shirayuki, a beautiful girl working as a medicine woman who has red hair, which is very rare in her country. When she is proposed and chased after by the prince of her country, she runs away, only to meet Zen, the prince of a neighboring country. Finding respect for the young man, she decides to serve at his side as his court doctor.

Masahiro Ando (Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow, Blast of Tempest) is directing the anime at the studio BONES.

The story of Ranpo Kitan takes place at a certain middle school where several murder cases take place. Kobayashi, a boy who goes to this school, meets genius detective Akechi, who comes to the school to investigate. Kobayashi takes an interest in Akechi and, in spite of his friend Hashiba's worries, he volunteers to be Akechi's assistant.

The anime marks the 50th anniversary of the acclaimed late Japanese author Rampo Edogawa (born Taro Hirai). Seiji Kishi (Persona 4, Devil Survivor 2) is directing the anime at the studio Lerche (Re:␣Hamatora, Assassination Classroom).

Kohske's original Gangsta. manga revolves around Nick (played by Kenjiro Tsuda) and Worick (Junichi Suwabe), two men who take on jobs from both the mafia and the police in the town of Ergastulum, a rotten town filled with mafia, hoodlums, prostitutes, and dirty cops.

Shukou Murase (Dante's Inferno: An Animated Epic, Genocidal Organ) is directing the anime at Manglobe (The Unlimited - Hyōbu Kyōsuke, Hayate the Combat Butler! Cuties). Viz publishes the manga in North America.

The Seiyu's Life! anime is based on the manga by voice actress Masumi Asano (.hack franchise's Black Rose, Hayate the Combat Butler's Risa Asakaze) and manga creator Kenjirou Hata (Hayate the Combat Butler). The four-panel manga centers on Futaba Ichinose, Ichigo Moesaki, and Rin Kohana, three rookie voice actresses. The manga features small but humorous observations of the voice actor industry.

Hiroshi Ikehata (Robot Girls Z) is directing the anime at Gonzo (Rosario + Vampire, Dog & Scissors).

The Bikini Warriors anime adapts Hobby Japan and Megahouse's fantasy figure line of the same name. Naoyuki Kuzuya is directing at the studios feel. and PRA. The official website describes the project:

The setting is a an RPG-style world with swords and magic, where adventurers form a party to challenge the demon king's right to rule. But, the adventurers all have beautiful breasts, enormous breasts, and bikini armor!!

Tsutomu Mizushima (Girls und Panzer, Shirobako) is helming the Prison School anime at J.C. Staff. North American publisher Yen Press licensed Akira Hiramoto's original manga for North America, and it describes the series:

Hachimitsu Private Academy was a revered and elite all-girls' boarding school on the outskirts of Tokyo...once upon a time. But with the new school year comes a revision to school policy: Boys are to be admitted into the student body for the first time ever. But on his first day at Hachimitsu, Kiyoshi Fujino discovers that he's one of only five boys enrolled at the school. Their numbers overwhelmed by the thousand girls in the student body, is it heaven or hell that awaits these five (un)fortunates?!

Hetalia The World Twinkle is the sixth anime season inspired by Hidekaz Himaruya's Hetalia manga. The manga takes the archetypal characteristics of countries and regions throughout the world, and anthropomorphizes them as (mostly) bishōnen characters.

Hiroshi Watanabe is directing the new season at Studio DEEN. Funimation has released all the previous anime seasons and the Hetalia Axis Powers: Paint it, White! film in North America. Right Stuf has been releasing the manga in North America in collaboration with its former English-language publisher, Tokyopop, and its Japanese publisher Gentosha Comics.

Eiichi Sato will be directing Aquarion Logos, the third Aquarion television anime, at the studios Satelight and C2C. Jun Kumagai, Yuniko Ayana, and Mariko Mochizuki are writing the scripts. Takashi Mamezuka is designing the characters, and will also serve as chief animation diretor. R.O.N is composing the music. May'n and Haruka Chisuga will perform the opening and ending theme songs, respectively. Yoko Kanno is composing the opening theme song for May'n.

Once upon a time, human voices had defined the true nature of all things, yet the invention of text changed the status quo, while creating a "Logos World" between the voice and the truth. Millennia have passed since then, advancements of civilizations have made the "Logos World" too big to control "texts." A group of young people dedicate themselves to counter chaotic "texts" with "Creative Voice Power," and among them, a boy named Akira Kaibuki living in Asagaya.

Sky Wizards Academy (Kūsen Madōshi Kōhosei no Kyōkan) is a light novel series written by Yū Moroboshi, illustrated by Yuka Nakajima. Takayuki Inagaki (Rosario + Vampire, My mental choices are completely interfering with my school romantic comedy) is directing the anime at Diomedea (Gingitsune, Astarotte's Toy)

In a world where humanity is driven from the land and now live in floating cities, Kanata Age is a wizard who uses his aerial combat prowess to combat the magical armoured insects that now roam the earth.

Kanata was once celebrated as the "elite ace of the S128 special team" known as the Black Master Swordsman but now he is despised as a traitor. As such Kanata is assigned as the instructor of E601, a team who has suffered 10 consecutive defeats and he must now train Misora Whitale, Lecty Eisenach, and Rico Flamel to fight in the danger zone.

Chiaki Kon is once again directing the third Junjō Romantica anime at Studio DEEN. Shungiku Nakamura's original manga already inspired two anime seasons in 2008, and Right Stuf licensed both for North America.

Misaki has a lot to worry about. He's trying to get into the prestigious Mitsuhashi University, though his grades are less than stellar. Also his new tutor is the famous author Akihiko Usami, a moody, pushy man who's giving him some shockingly sexual advances. But the biggest problem of all is that Akihiko is using a pen name to write explicit boy's love novels starring himself and Misaki's brother!

Naoyuki Itou (Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu; Digimon: Data Squad) is directing the Overlord anime at MADHOUSE. Kugane Maruyama wrote the original light novel series.

The story takes place in the year 2138 when virtual reality gaming is booming. Yggdrasil, a popular online game is quietly shut down one day. However, the protagonist Momonga decides to not log out. Momonga is then transformed into the image of a skeleton as “the most powerful wizard.” The world continues to change, with non-player characters (NPCs) beginning to feel emotion. Having no parents, friends, or place in society, this ordinary young man Momonga then strives to take over the new world the game has become.

In Ayumu Kasuga's four-panel manga Castle Town Dandelion (Jōkamachi no Dandelion), the everyday lives of the nine super-powered siblings of the royal family are monitored by more than 200 surveillance cameras and broadcast nationwide. The people of the nation who are watching the broadcast will have the ability to elect the next monarch. The story focuses on Akane, the third-oldest sister who can manipulate gravity. She is shy and desperately does not want to be caught on camera.

Noriaki Akitaya (Bakuman., BONJOUR Sweet Love Patisserie) will helm the anime at Production IMS (Inari Kon Kon, The Testament of Sister New Devil, Gonna be the Twin-Tail!!).

Hirotaka Akagi's original Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai (A Boring World Where the Concept of 'Dirty Jokes' Doesn't Exist) light novel series is set 16 years after the "Law for Public Order and Morals in Healthy Child-Raising" banned coarse language in the country. Tanukichi Okuma enrolls in the country's leading elite public morals school and is soon invited into the Anti-Societal Organization (SOX) by its founder, Ayame Kajō. As a member blackmailed into joining by Ayame, Tanukichi ends up taking part in obscene acts of terrorism against the talented student council president Anna (for whom Tanukichi has a crush).

Youhei Suzuki (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat.) is directing the television anime with series scripts by Masahiro Yokotani (Free! Eternal Summer, Riddle Story of Devil) at J.C. Staff.
