Both films to get home video releases this year
[IMG]Funimation announced at its Sakura-Con panel on Friday that it has licensed the Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days' Time (Ansatsu Kyōshitsu: 365-Nichi no Jikan) and Garo: Divine Flame anime films. The company plans to release both directly to home video.

Funimation plans to release Assassination Classroom the Movie: 365 Days' Time on July 3.

The film opened in Japan in November 2016. The film is a compilation for the television anime, but adds an extra scene that depicts the class reunion that takes place at the end of the manga, seven years after the manga's climax. In Japan, the film screened alongside an anime adaptation of Jō Aoto and Kizuku Watanabe's Koro-sensei Q! (Koro Teacher Quest!) spinoff manga.

The first 22-episode season of the Assassination Classroom anime premiered in Japan in January 2015, and the second season premiered in January 2016. Funimation licensed both seasons for North America.

[IMG]Funimation plans to release Garo: Divine Flame in 2018.

The film opened in Japan in May 2016. The film is a sequel set four years after Honō no Kokuin, the first Garo the Animation television series.

Tohokushinsha Film Corporation describes the story:

León, who has succeeded the name of Golden Knight "GARO" devotes himself to train a young Makai Knight for the next generation, together with Prince Alfonso of the Valiante Kingdom. Then, they receive an order to exterminate the most beautiful Horror in the world which resides in a neighboring country "Vazelia".
At the same time, a young Makai Knight for the next generation is kidnapped by an unknown person.

León desperately follows them, only to find that he is surrounded by his enemies at a dead end. Then, a Makai Knight Dario who was supposed to be missing for some time suddenly appears and rescues him.

Under his guidance, León is led to the town where he meets up a totally unexpected person!

Director Yuichiro Hayashi, head writer Yasuko Kobayashi, and the anime studio MAPPA reunited after working on the first Garo the Animation television series.
