Funimation Announces English Dub Casts for Space Patrol Luluco, Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars Anim

FUNimation Entertainment announced the English dub casts for Space Patrol Luluco and Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars on Wednesday.

The Space Patrol Luluco English dub cast, under ADR director Christopher Bevins and writer John Burgmeier, includes:

• Brittney Karbowski as Luluco
• Justin Briner as Nova
• Jamie Marchi as Midori
• Brett Weaver as Keiji
• Monica Rial as Lalaco Godspeed
• Bob Carter as Overjustice
• Mike McFarland as Judgment Gun

Funimation will release the series on Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo pack on October 10. The television anime premiered on April 1, 2016 and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan. Crunchyrolldescribes the series:

Luluco is a normal junior high school girl whose father is a detective at the space patrol. One day, she visits the Ogikubo branch of the space patrol to save her father who is suddenly frozen. But she happens to be assigned as a space patrol by the chief director Overjustice. Wearing a space patrol suit with strange functions, will she able to save her father and keep the peace of Ogikubo from space criminals? And will she fulfill her life as a junior high school student, including love and study?

Studio Trigger and Hiroyuki Imaishi are credited with the original work, and Imaishi directed the series and oversaw the scripts. Akira Amemiya (Inferno Cop) served as second director, and Hiromi Wakabayashi (setting production for Gurren Lagann, script for Inferno Cop, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt) was the creative director. Mago and Yusuke Yoshigaki (Ninja Slayer From Animation, Black Rock Shooter) designed the characters, Shigeto Koyama (design for Gurren Lagann, Eureka Seven, mecha design for Star Driver) handled the "Justice design," and Yoshigaki and Shūhei Handa (Kill la Kill, Terraformars) were the chief animation directors.

The Regalia cast, under ADR director Tyler Walker and writer John Burgmeier, includes:

The anime premiered in Japan in July 2016, though the broadcast was halted after the fourth episode due to a "recognizable difference between the show's planned quality [and the current quality]." The anime resumed in September. Funimation streamed the series as it aired and will release the series on Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo pack on September 5.

In the show's story, 12 years ago, in the country of Rimguard, a big incident left an unsolved mystery that has begun to fade from people's memories. Time passes, and sisters Yui and Rena are living peacefully in the Enastria Empire. However, one day, a large mecha attacks Enastria. This day marks the turning point when the two girls get caught in the vortex of fate.

Susumu Tosaka (Infinite Stratos series director) directed the anime at Actas. Keigo Koyanagi (Go! Go! 575, Angel Beats! setting production) handled the series composition. QP:flapper handled the original character design, Kimitake Nishio (Moetan, ToHeart2) served as the chief animation director and adapted those designs for animation, and Kanta Suzuki (Buddy Complex) handled the mechanical design. TRUE performed the show's opening theme song "Divine Spell," and Minami performed the ending theme song.
