Visual novel developer Frontwing announced at its Anime Expo panel on Thursday that it will release the Grisaia: Phantom Trigger anime in English. The anime will be available on streaming platforms, but the platforms have not yet been determined. The company has opened a Kickstarter campaign as a means of taking preorders for a Blu-ray Disc release; if the campaign is successful Blu-ray Discs are slated to ship by this December.

Frontwing is also releasing the Grisaia: Phantom Trigger game in English, and it announced at the panel that the fifth part is slated for late July on Steam. The company is also taking preorders for this over a separate Kickstarter campaign that ends on Saturday. The fourth part debuted on Steam on January 25.

Frontwing funded the upcoming television anime adaptation of its Grisaia: Phantom Trigger game on its own. The anime's first two episodes are slated to debut simultaneously this year.

Anime director Tensho (all three Grisaia anime) founded the new animation studio Bibury Animation Studio to produce the anime as its first work. Akio Watanabe, the original character designer for the Grisaia franchise, is serving as the anime's character designer and chief animation director. Ryuichiro Yamakawa is producing the anime. The cast members are reprising their roles from the game.
