[IMG]This week's 39th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump will announce on Monday that Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma is inspiring an event anime at this year's Jump Special Anime Festa tour.

The event will visit nine cities in Japan from November 3-15. In addition to the original anime, the festival will debut the Yu-Gi-Oh! The Darkside of Dimensions film trailer, and the Tokyo stop will also feature a talkshow with the cast of Haikyu!!. The magazine also teases Gintama and Seraph of the Endscreenings, but does not say that these will be original works.Weekly Shonen Jump will distribute 3000 pairs of tickets through a random drawing.

Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's original Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma comedy manga centers on Sōma, who works with his dad at his family's restaurant. His dad is a culinary master, and he often hosts cooking battles with his father. His father then enrolls him in an elite culinary school that is very difficult to enter, and the graduation rate is only about 10 percent.

Crunchyroll is streaming the anime adaptation as it airs in Japan, and Sentai Filmworks licensedthe series for North America. Viz Media publishes the original manga.
