First trailer for Bridget Jones's Baby is pregnant with anticipation
After a while away, you might have expected to see Renee Zellweger's Bridget Jones happily settled into a proper routine. But things are never quite that simple for the life-chronicling heroine, and the first trailer for Bridget Jones's Baby finds her single, pregnant and still trying to figure things out.

As we catch up with her for the first time since 2004's The Edge Of Reason (cinematically, at least), Bridget is Mark Darcy free, though fortunately he's still alive, unlike (spoiler alert!) in writer Helen Fielding's book Mad About The Boy. Still, she can't help but keep the guy (played as ever by Colin Firth) in her heart as she makes strides in her career.

But then she meets the charming Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey), and it looks like her love life could once more be on an upswing. Until, that is, she falls pregnant and can't figure out how break the news to the prospective father... Whichever of the two it is.

With Sharon Maguire back directing this one, expect the usual madness for Bridge, plus returning faces Jim Broadbent, Celia Imrie, James Callis, Sally Phillips and a someone new to the films in the shape of Emma Thompson, who also had a hand in the script. Bridget Jones's Baby will be delivered in September.
