First teaser arrives for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them
Harry who? There’s a new wizard in town and his name is Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), the frayed and frazzled star of the first Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them trailer. It's freshly in from Warner Bros. marketing HQ and you can feast your Muggle peepers on it below.

Before the angry owls start to arrive, Scamander is, specifically, a globe-trotting magizoologist. His travels are recorded 70 years before Harry tackles Voldemort, in 1926, and major on his time in New York. This Big Apple is soon ransacked by some of the beasties he carries with him in his bottomless bag. Cue mayhem, adventures and dark forces at large.

David Yates' fifth J.K. Rowling adaptation may still be a good 11 months away, but anticipation is already pitched somewhere between ‘heightened’ and ‘frenzied’. Unsurprisingly, the studio is keen to keep its Floo powder dry. There's no beasts, fantastic or otherwise, in this early footage, although there is plenty of Katherine Waterston's Tina, Scamander's conduit to Gotham life.

There’s familiar themes at play – witches and wizards have fallen out with the No-Maj, America's Muggles, and tensions are running high – and there’s a witchhunt (an actual witchhunt, not the metaphoric kind) underway, involving Colin Farrell’s investigator, Percival Graves. Think CSI Hogwarts or a magical Minority Report.

Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them arrives in UK cinemas on November 18, 2016.
