KOEI Tecmo began streaming a new video for its Fire Emblem Warriors (Fire Emblem Musou) Nintendo 3DS and Switch game on Wednesday. The video shows a conversation between Marth and Chrom.

Previously revealed characters for the game include Marth (Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light) and Chrom (Fire Emblem Awakening), as well as original characters Liane and Shion. Other characters include female Corrin (Fire Emblem: Fates), Ryoma (Fire Emblem: Fates), Xander (Fire Emblem: Fates), Robin (Fire Emblem Awakening), Lissa (Fire Emblem Awakening), Frederick (Fire Emblem Awakening), and Lucina (Fire Emblem Awakening).

The game's story begins when, without warning, the Kingdom of Aitriss is enveloped in darkness, and an otherworldly gate appears within the castle. Powerful creatures overpower the castle guards. The castle soon falls, and the darkness slowly but surely encroaches upon the Kingdom. But there is hope, in the form of Shion and Liane, the prince and princess who escaped even as the castle burned. They possess a thread that ties together the destiny of heroes. Bearing the Shield of Fire granted to them by their mother, their journey to confront the powerful darkness begins.

The game is slated for release in Japan on September 28 for both consoles, and in the West this fall on the Nintendo Switch.

KOEI Tecmo Games, its Omega Force team, and its Team Ninja team are developing the game. Omega Force is a subsidiary of KOEI Tecmo, and it develops KOEI Tecmo's Musou (Warriors) series of games. The series is known for its action hack-and-slash gameplay where players control a character to fight hundreds of enemies at once.
