February is for Love Nomination Thread

Which could eventually build up to overly-sexed yanderes who will go against the will of the MC. But that part is never shown...

Hehe xD Wouldn't have come far anyway. They aren't even a real couple. They had a date once, but Otae didn't know it was Kondo.

 

I am really hoping I can get Belldandy & Keichii to win this year. They almost beat the main nomination last year.

 

I'm curious of who may win this, I just used the first two couples that came to my mind. (I was watching Fairy Tail at the time)

 

I'd be surprised if any of my noms get farther than round 1. I wouldn't know anything romantic so save my life. Frankly speaking. I have the romantic sense of a pet rock. I have five ex-girlfriends who can testify to that.

 

I have no experience in the ways of romance... Except for maybe once but I wouldn't know if I should consider that as romantic experience.

 

A lot of the most popular couples were nominated so it could end up pretty close.

Seriously? Asuna and Kirito are like the most popular anime couple that's actually a couple and not a ship. I'd be shocked if they didn't go far although there are a lot of people who hate them as well.

Domon and Rain probably aren't going to last but I might vote for them depending on who they go up against.

Jin and Toa probably won't make it past the first round.

I'm not a romantic guy either. I like romance in anime but thats because I like emotional anime.

And there's even a 3rd Fairy Tail couple in the game. Feels like the old days, these games used be dominated by FT and people were voting against them just because there was too much Fairy Tail.

I'm not very good at the romance genre either. I was happy i had Kenshin and Kaoru to nominate. I guess it makes sense that was the first couple popping up in my head due to my name. I'd have to make my brain work overhours to think up a 2nd serious couple.

 

I don't expect my nominations to get very far and I won't be surprised if they get eliminated in the first round. If any of my nominations end up in a tie breaker I know they will be eliminated since I have never won any tie breakers. It took me a while to think of a 2nd nomination and my third nomination was because I was playing Valkryia Chronicles and remembered that there was an anime adaption of the game.

 

3 out of 32 being Fairy Tail isn't really to much considering how popular both FT and its couples and shipping are. I hate when people vote against something rather than for something but its inevitable in things like this. I try to avoid doing it as much as I can but when its a match up of something you haven't seen vs something you hated, its natural to want to eliminate the one you hated.

Kenshin and Kaoru, I don't like them much as a couple due to how Kaoru was portrayed as not even being able to get out of bed because Kenshin left. And that's just someone she has a crush on they aren't even in a relationship.

Wave and Kurome aren't even close to canon unless something happened in the manga that didn't in the anime. In the anime they only interacted a handful of times

Gajeel and Levy might be the best FT "couple" despite their rocky start and anything FMA usually does well in popularlity polls. I'm sure your picks will last longer than mine.

May I have my nomination for His and Her Circumstances changed? As a manga, they were able to reach a successful conclusion, but the anime ended way too early to help.
I was hoping to use Keitaro & Naru from Love Hina instead.

 

Eh, yup, something happened in the manga all right.

 

I am honestly unsure if I want to change my nomination.
While the relationship in HHC was good, the anime itself was basically a slideshow at times. Didn't help that the manga-ka decided to have the anime canceled because (brace yourself) it had too much comedy. But the comedy was mostly dead by episode 3-4, with this one time in episode 7,8, can't remember exactly when.
Love Hina is less serious, but the interactions between the two are nice.

 

I'm fine with changing it, but are you sure yet? Also, if you do decide to change, you should ask Vladnyx because he's gonna host the February game. The game starts tomorrow so you'll have to be quick in deciding, otherwise the couple you already have will just stay in it.
