Author's new manga debuted in Bessatsu Margaret on January 13
[IMG]Takaaki Imai, the editor-in-chief of Shueisha's Bessatsu Margaretmagazine, revealed in an interview published by Japanese entertainment news website Comic Natalie on Friday that Kazune Kawahara and Aruko's romantic comedy shōjo manga series My Love Story!! (Ore Monogatari!!) is approaching its climax. When asked about the status of Bessatsu Margaret going forward, Imai responded, "SinceKazune Kawahara has just started her new serialized manga Suteki na Kareshi, My Love Story!! is approaching its climax."

Kawahara first debuted the original 100-page version of the story in an issue of Bessatsu Margaret Sister in October 2011, but the manga thenreturned in Bessatsu Margaret as a serialized work. Shueisha published the 10th compiled book volume of the manga (pictured right) on October 13.

Viz Media is publishing the manga in North America, and it describes the story:

Takeo Gōda is a giant guy with a giant heart. Too bad the girls don't want him! (They want his good-looking best friend, Sunakawa.) Used to being on the sidelines, Takeo simply stands tall and accepts his fate. But one day when he saves a girl named Yamato from a harasser on the train, his (love!) life suddenly takes an incredible turn!
Viz Media published the sixth translated volume on October 6.

The series won Best Shojo Manga at the 37th Kodansha Manga Awards in 2013. The manga alsoreceived a two-chapter crossover with Naoshi Komi's Nisekoi - False Love manga in both Weekly Shonen Jump and Bessatsu Margaret in the same year. Viz Media published the "boys' side" chapter in its digital version of Weekly Shonen Jump in 2014.

A television anime of My Love Story!! debuted this past April, and a live-action film starringRyohei Suzuki and Mei Nagano opened on October 31.

Kawahara launched her latest manga Suteki na Kareshi (A Wonderful Boyfriend) in Bessatsu Margaret on January 13. The magazine's official website describes the series as follows:

One way or another, I want a boyfriend! To achieve a certain dream, Nonoka Kozakura hurries to execute her plan to get a boyfriend.
Kawahara's other manga include High School Debut, which Viz Media also published in North America. Kawahara ended the Aozora Yell manga in October. A live-action film adaptation of the manga will open in Japan in August 2016.
