Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe began streaming a trailer for the Dragon Ball FighterZ 2D fighting game on Tuesday. The trailer reveals the game's February 2018 release date in Europe, and also reveals new characters, including Android 17 and 18, and Android 16. The trailer also includes footage of previously revealed characters Piccolo and Krillin, and hints at the story in the game being developed by Arc System Works.

In addition, Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe also revealed that a "CollectorZ Edition" release for the game will be available in Europe. The release will include an 18cm diorama featuring Goku, three art boards, and steelbook packaging. Those who pre-order the game in Europe will get an early access to the game's open beta, an unlock code for Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta, and two lobby avatars.

Bandai Namco Entertainment teases the game's story:

With the resurrection of Android 16 and the invasion of the mysterious army corps, the super warriors starts to fall. What is happening?

A closed beta for the game will take place on September 16 to 18.

The playable cast includes Goku (Super Saiyan), Teen Gohan (Super Saiyan 2), Vegeta (Super Saiyan), Future Trunks (Super Saiyan), Freeza (Final Form, Golden Freeza), Cell (Perfect Form), Krillin, and Piccolo.

Bandai Namco Entertainment America describes the game:

Arc System Works delivers an explosive, action-packed game that combines classic 2D fighting with advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL series.

Bandai Namco Entertainment will release the three-versus-three fighting game on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
