American video game publisher Devolver Digital announced during its press conference on Sunday that it will release FromSoftware's Metal Wolf Chaos game for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC this year.

The game, titled Metal Wolf Chaos XD, will feature upgraded visuals, and will support widescreen formats. The updated game will also contain the original game's English dub.

Devolver Digital teased the game's release on Saturday.

FromSoftware released the Metal Wolf Chaos third-person shooter game in Japan only on the Xbox console in 2004. The game featured full English voice acting. The game centers on Michael Wilson, the president of the United States, fighting a coup d'état by Richard Hawk, the vice president, who has usurped the presidency and instituted a dictatorship in the country. Wilson fights Hawk's forces using his powered armor Metal Wolf.

Devolver Digital had posted on Twitter in January 2016, "Count us in to help Metal Wolf Chaos get out to more gamers if From Software wants some help." The company posted a Twitter post later that month to FromSoftware's Yasunori Ogura stating, "Give us a shout, we'd love to talk about Metal Wolf Chaos!"

FromSoftware is also known for its Dark Souls and Armored Core series of games. The company revealed its Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice game at E3 on Sunday.
