A new Detective Conan project will let fans solve cases alongside their favorite manga and anime characters. The "Meitantei Conan Kagaku Sōsa-ten ~Shinjitsu e no Abduction~" (Detective Conan Scientific Crime Investigation: Abduction Toward the Truth) exhibition will run at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation in Tokyo from April 18 to July 8.

The immersive experience will have three areas: the "On-Site Inspection Area" where people can collect evidence, the "Information-Gathering Area" where people can get more information from characters, and the "Lab Area" where people can use technology to analyze clues. The exhibition will feature an original story.

The project's official website will reveal more details in the future.

The exhibition will mark the release of the franchise's 22nd anime film, Meitantei Conan Zero no Shikkōnin (Detective Conan: Zero's Executioner), which will open in Japan on April 13. The film will be a sequel to the series' 20th film, Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare, and center on Tōru "Zero" Amuro.

The "Detective Conan World" escape game will also debut on January 19 as part of Universal Studios Japan's Universal Cool Japan 2018 attractions. The franchise previously received several Real Escape Games by SCRAP, including a fan-voted experience that opened on June 30 and concluded on November 26.
