This year's 16th issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine is announcing on Wednesday that Takeshi Azuma's Denpa Kyōshi - He Is a Ultimate Teacher (Ultimate Otaku Teacher) manga is three chapters from ending.

Last month, Shogakukan listed the manga's 26th compiled book volume as the final one. That volume ships on April 18. This year's 14th issue of Weekly Shonen Sunday also reported on March 1 that the manga is entering the climax of the final arc.

The manga's story centers around Junichirō, a young man obsessed with manga, anime, and games. He was a young genius who published papers in the journals Nature and Science when he was only 17. However, after graduating college, he became a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) absorbed in his anime blog. Unable to watch Kagami throw away his life, his sister Suzune gets him to work at the Ichō Academy she attends. The head of the school's board, Koyomi Hiiragi, assigns Kagami to his new life as a teacher.

Azuma launched the manga in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in late 2011. The Japanese title of the manga literally means "Electromagnetic-Wave Teacher," a reference to the term denpa-kei for people who act bizarrely, such as extreme otaku. The slang was coined from people who claimed their actions were caused by electromagnetic waves (denpa) they received. Shogakukan published the manga's 25th compiled book volume (seen right) on February 17.

The manga inspired two anime commercials in 2012 and 2013, and a 24-episode television anime adaptation which premiered in Japan in April 2015. Funimation streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and also streamed the show dubbed in English. Funimation released the series on two Blu-ray Disc and DVD combo packs in November and on Tuesday.
