Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody Anime Reveals Teaser Visual, Staff

    The official website for the television anime adaptation of Hiro Ainana and shri's Death March to The Parallel World Rhapsody (Death March Kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyōsōkyoku) light novel series opened on Monday and revealed a teaser visual and main staff for the anime. Shin Oonuma (Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts, ef: a tale of melodies, No-Rin) is directing the series at SILVER LINK (Brave Witches, Non Non Biyori).

    The story of the light novel series follows a 29-year-old programmer who is on a "death march," but one day he wakes up in another world after a nap. From a meteor shower he happens to gain vast riches, and he decides to go sightseeing. So begins his "heartwarming, occasionally serious, and harem" adventure in another world.

    Ainana initially began posting the series online in 2013, and Kadokawapublished the first volume with illustrations by shri in in March 2014. Both the 11th volume of the novel series and fifth volume of the manga adaptation will ship on Thursday.

    Megumu Aya began the manga adaptation of Ainana's novels in Kadokawa's Age Premium magazine, but the series moved to Monthly Dragon Age when Age Premium ceased publication in July 2015. shriserves as the original character designer on Aya's manga adaptation.

    Yen Press has licensed the original light novel series and the manga adaptation. The company released the second light novel volume digitally and in print on May 23. Yen Press published the third volume of Aya's manga on July 18.
