The official website for the Date A Live anime franchise announced on Wednesday that the Gekijōban Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment film will open on August 22 at Tokyo's Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro and Kadokawa Shinjuku, as well as in other theaters. Participating theaters will begin selling advance tickets on April 10.

A pair of "Date tickets" will come with a special Gekijōban Date A Live: Mayuri Judgment Movie Guide Booklet (pictured below). The pamphlet will include a prologue short story by original author Koushi Tachibana, rough sketches of Mayuri by Tsunako, a character relationship chart, summaries of the two television anime seasons, a profile of Tengū City, and a "peek" at the film's storyboards.

    The staff includes:

    Original Creator: Koushi Tachibana
    Original Illustrator: Tsunako
    Planning: Takeshi Yasuda
    Director: Keitaro Motonaga
    Screenplay: Hideki Shirane
Character Design: Satoshi Ishino, Koji Watanabe
    Chief Animation Director: Koji Watanabe
    Animation Production: Production IMS
    Distributor: Kadokawa Shoten
The anime based on Koushi Tachibana's original light novel series centers on an ordinary high school boy named Shidō Itsuka who meets a spirit girl who has been rejected by a devastated world. The girl, who Shidō names "Tohka," happens to have wiped out much of humanity 30 years ago, and now she is back. The only way to stop her is to date her.

Funimation streamed the first and second TV anime seasons in North America as they aired in Japan, and released the series on a dual-audio Blu-ray/DVD combo pack in June 2014.
