Kotoyama: Not much longer left to finishing series
    [IMG]
Manga creator Kotoyama reported in the author's note for his 10th Dagashi Kashi manga volume on Friday that he has already done the layout for the manga's finale. He added that there is not much longer left to finishing the manga.

    Funimation describes the story:

Kokonotsu “Coconuts” Shikada dreams of becoming a famous manga artist. The only problem—he's terrible. His real talent is selling the complex and delicious snacks in his father's “dagashi” shop. He never thought much about the family business until the trendy, eccentric Hotaru showed up. As a lover of “dagashi,” she can't let his talent go to waste and decides she won't stop 'til she's sold him on sweets.
Kotoyama began the series in Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine in June 2014. The manga has 3 million copies in print, and it was nominated for the 41st annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2017. The series' 11th volume will ship on May 18, and it will have a special edition that bundles a figure.

The first 12-episode television anime series premiered in January 2016. Funimation streamed the series with subtitles as it aired in Japan, and also streamed an English dub. The company released the anime on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on April 18.

The second 12-episode season premiered on January 7. Each 15-minute episode airs in a shared timeslot with Takunomi. Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming Dagashi Kashi 2 as it airs in Japan.
