Crunchyroll to Stream The Morose Mononokean, Amanchu! Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it will stream The Morose Mononokean (Fukigen na Mononokean) and Amanchu! television anime as they air in Japan.

The Morose Mononokean's streaming will launch on July 3 at 11:30 a.m. EDT, and will be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, the Netherlands, Latin America (Central and South America including Caribbean), and German and French speaking Europe.

Amanchu!'s stream will launch on July 8 at 11:30 a.m. EDT, and will be available in the United States (and its territories), Canada, Latin America (Central and South America including Caribbean), the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, and the Netherlands.

Crunchyroll also announced the premiere date for its streaming of the new Berserk television anime. The stream will launch on July 1 at 10:30 a.m. EDT, and will be available worldwide except for Asia, New Zealand, and Australia.

The Morose Mononokean will premiere in Japan on AT-X on Tuesday, June 28 at 11:30 p.m., and will then air on Tokyo MX on July 3. The series will also then air on Yomiuri TV, Chukyo TV, and BS11. The d Anime Store will stream the anime starting on July 6.

"Exorcism" is the art of sending yokai who have somehow wandered into the living world back into the underworld, where they belong. One day Hanae Ashiya, a high school student who's been haunted by a yokai, happens to find the contact information of an exorcist called the "Mononokean" and pays him a visit. The exorcist he meets is a morose-looking young man, Haruitsuki Abeno, and for various reasons Ashiya ends up working for the Mononokean...

And so the story of the exorcist duo Ashiya and Abeno, and the yokai they meet in their adventures, begins.

Akira Iwanaga (Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee, Corpse Party: Tortured Souls, Isuca) is directing the anime adaptation of Kiri Wazawa's manga at Pierrot Plus. Takao Yoshioka (Ikki Tousen, High School DxD, Your Lie in April) is in charge of series composition. Atsuko Kageyama is designing the characters, and Yasuharu Takanishi (Fairy Tail,Log Horizon, Boruto -Naruto the Movie-) is composing the music.

The Super Ball is performing the opening theme song "Tomodachi Meter," and Tomoaki Maeno and Yuuki Kajiare performing the ending theme song "Tobira no Mukō."

Crunchyroll is publishing Wazawa's original manga digitally in English.

Amanchu! will premiere on July 8 on AT-X, and it will also run on Tokyo MX and other channels.

It is spring, the season of great changes. Hikari Kohinata is an overwhelmingly cheerful and outgoing 15-year-old girl who has spent all her life in a small and beautiful seaside town on the Izu peninsula. On the first day of high school, she meets Futaba Oki, a slightly introverted girl who has just moved from Tokyo. Before she knows it, Futaba gets dragged along into Hikari's passion for scuba diving. And from there, Futaba gradually starts to come out of her shell, and learns how to take challenges and dive into the ocean of life.

Junichi Sato (Sailor Moon, Princess Tutu, Aria the Animation) is serving as chief director for the anime adaptation of Kozue Amano's original manga. Kenichi Kasai (Honey and Clover, Nodame Cantabile,Bakuman.) is directing the series at J.C. Staff, with scripts by Deko Akao (Yes! Precure 5, Arakawa Under the Bridge, Snow White with the Red Hair). Yoko Ito (Love Stage!!) is designing the characters.

Maaya Sakamoto is performing the opening theme song "Million Clouds," while Tekopikari is performing the ending theme song "Futari Shōjo."​
