Crunchyroll to Stream Tanaka-kun is Always Listless Anime

Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream the anime Tanaka-kun is Always Listless (Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge) as it airs in Japan. The stream will premiere on Saturday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. New episodes will premiere on future Saturdays at the same time.

The stream will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, the Netherlands, Turkey, and Latin America.

Sentai Filmworks licensed the series for North America.

The series will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX at 10:00 p.m. on April 9 in Japan, and it will also air on MBS, TV Aichi, Hiroshima TV, and BS11. The Cine Libre Ikebukuro theater will screen new episodes of the anime weekly, beginning on April 9, during the anime's premiere.

Shinya Kawamo (.hack//GIFT, Kokoro Connect, Non Non Biyori) will direct the anime at SILVER LINK, and Akemi Omode (Getbackers, Kyo kara Maoh!, Tales of the Abyss) will oversee the scripts. Haruko Iizuka (Umi Monogatari, Ōkami-san & Her Seven Companions, Little Busters!) will design the characters for animation, while Kusanagi will provide the art direction. Hiromi Mizutani (Sunday Without God, Non Non Biyori, Shomin Sample) will compose the music. Singer/songwriter CooRie will perform the anime's ending theme song "BON-BON."

The youth comedy manga follows the ever-listless Tanaka and his taciturn classmate Ohta, who can't leave Tanaka alone.

Nozomi Uda launched the original manga series on the Gangan Online website in 2013, and Square Enix published the manga's fifth compiled volume last November.​
