Brave Witches Anime's English-Subtitled Trailer Streamed

    Crunchyroll began streaming an English-subtitled trailer for the Brave Witches spinoff television anime on Thursday.

    In addition, Crunchyroll announced more details for its simulcast of the anime. Crunchyroll's stream will begin on October 5 at 2:05 p.m. EDT, and will be available for users worldwide except in Asia.

    Crunchyroll describes the anime:
    In 1930, the enemy of humanity, "Neuroi," suddenly appeared in Europe. Normal weaponry was ineffective on the Neuroi, and the only ones capable of fighting them were young girls with magical powers, known as "Witches."

    "Brave Witches" takes place in between seasons 1 and 2 of "Strike Witches."

    In September of 1944, thanks to the actions of the Allied Forces, with the 501st Joint Fighter Wing "Strike Witches" at their center, the Neuroi nest in the skies above the Republic of Gallia was eliminated, ensuring the security of western Europe. The Allied Forces took advantage of this victory to plan to take their resistance to central and eastern Europe in earnest. At their base in Petersburg in the Empire of Orussia, the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing "Brave Witches" prepared to receive orders to deploy... With the hope of mankind at their backs, the courageous Witches of the 502nd take to the cold skies over eastern Europe.

    Takaaki Suzuki is returning from the Strike Witches television anime series, original video anime, and film to serve as military history adviser and to be in charge of world setting. Hiroyuki Terao is returning to provide mechanical designs. Tomohiro Yoshida is again serving as sound director at Glovision. Seikou Nagaoka is returning to compose the music, and Nippon Columbia is producing the music.

    Singer Yoko Ishida will perform the theme song "Ashita no Tsubasa" (Wings of Tomorrow) for the anime. Ishida has performed theme songs for both Strike Witches anime series, the anime film, and the Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow OVA.

    Kazuhiro Takamura is returning from Strike Witches to direct the Brave Witches anime. SILVER LINK is also returning from Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow to animate the series. Striker Unit is credited with series composition, while Humikane Shimada is credited with the original character designs (which Takamura is adapting for animation). Tsuyoshi Kikuchi and Daijō Kudō are planning the project.​
