    I know that everyone on this site has thought about giving there kid a Japanese name inspired by there love for anime.

    Of course brother lol!!! Many of us would not be true Otaku's or Anime Lovers if we truly didnt...

    If I do ever have kids one day... and the good Lord above would bless me with such.. if I had a boy... his name would be Kirito and if it was a girl Sakura or Hinata

    The though crossed my Mind I once tried to convince my wife to call our Son Cloud although not really anime but still Japanese culture.
    Witch was immediately rejected so I moved on to Sephiroth (Seph for short) That was rejected as well.....
    SO I had to settle for Loki for our new Kitten I made her believe it was after the Norse God but in reality it was after this guy!!

    Well... I wouldn't go all out Japanese. I'm more for making up names rather than take an original, type of person. Such as Setherin or Arttikka for girl names.
    But to be honest, I'm liking my user name, Kaede if I had to pick a Japanese girl name for a kid. :)

    Ever heard the song "A Man Names Sue"?
    Yeah, same case.
    Chances are, my kid (boy) would get a girl's name and become a tough sunuvab!tch, since he would beat everyone up for laughing at him.
    All Japanese names look the same to me.

    I may be the odd one out here then, but I've never thought about naming my kid a Japanese name. Although I must admit I'm not one to plan or really talk about the future. Hell I don't even plan what I'll do the next week let alone X amount of years into the future.
    Then again I also know I'm not the most creative so they will probably get a name I like that I hear around the time they'll be born. A Japanese one could possibly have a chance. So far none are coming to mind so I guess my future offspring are safe for now.

    I could get behind this, MAL says there are a few characters named Kaede with some minor differences and last names appearing as well.

    Yuki is used a hell of a lot, but then again so are a few others. Sakura is used in a whole bunch. I actually find it entertaining to type in a random name/word into MAL's database to see what pops up.

    Yeah, you ain't kidding! At first they were alright but now, the name is becoming exhausting to listen to. Type in Japanese names into Google and the first ones to come up is either Yuuki/Yuki or Sakura....
