Bloody Monday's Kōji Megumi Launches New Suspense Manga On April 25

This year's 18th issue of Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine announced on Wednesday that illustrator Kōji Megumi and writer Sora Karin will launch a new manga series titled This Man: Sono Kao o Mita Mono ni wa Shi o (This Man: Death to Those Who See That Face) in the magazine's combined 21st and 22nd issue on April 25.


The manga is based on the "This Man" urban legend, which supposedly began when a woman living in New York told her psychiatrist in 2006 that she had been seeing the face of a man she had never met before in her dreams. Supposedly, more than 3,000 people all over the world have claimed to see "This Man" while dreaming. In present-day Japan, Hakaru Amano, an investigator who works with facial composites, is asked by a mother and daughter to draw the face of a man who illegally trespassed on their premises. He comes up with the face of "This Man." The story of a serial killer begins to unfold.

Kodansha Comics published all 11 volumes of Megumi's Bloody Monday manga. Megumi drew the Bloody Monday Season 2: Pandora no Hako and Bloody Monday: Last Season sequels.

Megumi and Meebu launched the Acma:Game manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in April 2013, and ended it last year with 22 volumes.
