This year's combined 36th/37th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Tite Kubo will publish the final Bleach manga chapter in the magazine's next issue, which Shueisha will ship on August 22. The next issue will also have an "important announcement."

The manga entered its final story arc in February 2012. The manga's 73rd volume then announced that the 74th volume will be the final volume. Hisashi Sasaki, the former editor-in-chief of Weekly Shonen Jump and the current Vice President for Global Shonen Jump at Viz, revealed four weeks ago that the manga will end in less than 10 weeks. The magazine announced on Monday that the manga would enter its "climax" in the next two chapters.

Kubo launched the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2001, and Shueisha published the manga's 73rd volume (seen right) on July 4. Viz Media is publishing the manga in North America digitally in English as new chapters are published in Japan. The company is also publishing the manga in print; it published the 66th volume on March 1, and published the 67th volume on Friday, July 5.

The manga inspired a television anime adaptation that ran for 366 episodes from 2004 to 2012. Viz Media obtained the television and home video rights to the anime in 2006. The series premiered with an English dub in Cartoon Network's Adult Swim that same year, and eventually aired all the episodes by 2014. Viz Media announced in June that it will release the television anime series on Blu-ray Disc, and the first volume shipped on July 19/

The manga has also inspired four anime films, a series of novels, and several video games. A series of stage musical adaptations launched in 2005, with the latest entry currently running until Thursday, August 4.

Guess which four letter word was shouted internally when I read this piece of news. This ominous announcement method is either another anime or another manga season, I'm hoping it isn't another anime because now I'd have to watch it.
I'm almost caught up with the 366 eps after all these years, to think that not long after finishing this series I'll probably have to start another part.

@Batosai it really is, especially when I'm watching it dub because my brother wants to watch it that way. We started it dub years back and because that was how we started it we apparently had to stick with it.

It also doesn't help that I dislike all of Ichigo's friends but Chad, hate Rukia and I'm actually not all that fond of Ichigo himself either. My favourite characters are mostly the captains that don't get much screen time, Sickly and Lazy captain [I don't remember names] in particular are the most interesting I find.
Hell I've even liked Hollows more than some of the main cast, I want more Grimjow and Coyote Stark, I liked those two.

You'll have to watch it sub if another season comes out. I hope it does because i prefer anime or manga. I love Ichigo, he's a typical shounen main character. Though i like Luffy and Naruto more. I enjoy the captains more than Ichigo's friends too, but they are just awesome. Kenpachi Zaraki especially.

@Batosai I am more than okay with switching to the sub for a new season, I am completely over the dub. I originally liked Ichigo's voice in the dub, but with Kubo's writing, the lines they made him say and my newfound general dislike of watching dubs it just isn't a good combination.
I like shounen MCs but Ichigo has been getting on my nerves, there was on scene I watched recently that I really hated. Sure it was meant to show his compassion and the way he wants to fight but
after his Hollow self disappeared after destroying Ulquiorra [how the hell is that spelt?] Ichigo said something along the lines of "This is not how I wanted to win. To be fair cut off one of my arms and legs too". To make the fight a bit more equal you know with the bad guy.....
I also find the end of his fights to be boring.

I am definitely a Kenpachi fan, he needs more screen time too. A captain I wish had less importance though is Byakuya, the bastard reminds me of a bloody Uchiha and we all know how I felt about them.
