    *sigh*

I think we should discuss this group. It's certainly been around for quite a few years, but honestly, I don't think they've made any real progress with their cause.

Now, before I begin this debate, I am not going to say I support their movement or say that I'm against it.

Lately in the news, all I've really seen is people reporting that these individuals have been more of a nuisance to society than a benefit. For instance, just a few days ago, I saw a video of these protesters blocking up a street and banging and yelling at an ambulance desperately trying to get through the street to the hospital with its lights on and blaring. There were even police officers telling the protesters to clear the street, in which the protesters flipped the officer off saying that he was a racist for trying to break up the protest.

In all honesty, these people seemed like a noble cause to begin with to uproot corrupt and racist cops, but now it seems that they're more focused on trying to abolish the police outright

So what are your opinions on these people? And as usual, try to keep it civil...

Well lately, they have done things that are clearly defined as terrorism and the government refused to acknowledge them as domestic terrorists. They refuse to cooperate with police by ousting the extremists within their ranks to prove to everyone else they are serious about being peaceful and willing to take the steps necessary to invoke a conversation with police.

If Black Lives Matter really cared about peaceful protests, they would cast out the extremists and "throw them under the bus" so to speak, by handing them over to police. Before they can be taken serious, they need to reflect on the criminal element that is brutally destroying their claims of "peaceful protesting." Until then, they will appear as nothing more than a domestic terrorist group to a majority of people.

People can defend them all they want, but in all honesty, if they're still defending them after all the violence the group has been causing, they're more a fool than anyone I've ever met. There is no more excuse for them to act like terrorists anymore and not be held accountable for it. Enough is enough.

A few bad apples spoil the bunch.
When an extremist or group of extremists do something in the name of a cause, it taints and sullies the cause. Police officers being killed by BLM extremists give the appearance of BLM being negative. I would consider a group a terrorist group if it was organized for that purpose. But when a few members (few is a relative term) start performing such actions, while still being associated to a group, it is difficult for me to truly consider them terrorist.
But, to be on the safe side, I would treat them that way, as a terrorist group. Who knows when the next extremist will attack.
Now, this is only hearsay, but in my area some BLM black man walked up to a white woman at a gas station and said if it weren't for the security cameras, he would shoot her. This is in Kansas, in a small town. No reported protests here.
I can't be sure if such a thing is true or false. So many lies and rumors and outright sh!t you have to sort through.

The heart of the matter is the goal the group is trying to accomplish. Their name comes from the fact that black peeps are being targeted by citizens and police purely based on the amount of pigment in their skin, resulting in brutality and death. If I were the one to name it, I'd lean more towards "Black Lives Matter, Too" as that's the message their going for. They're not saying white lives don't matter, they're saying "black lives are being ended because of their skin, and that needs to stop."

Every group is going to have extremists who don't have the group's goal as their own, and are just in it for personal hate of another group or revenge, but people from the outside still associate them with the actual group. Eg, Islam has ISIS, which many Muslim leaders have already denounced. Christianity has the KKK and the Westboro Baptist Church.

There is only one issue with their truth vs reality: there are black police officers, and even they are being targeted by Black Lives Matter. Black Lives Matter aren't doing anything about the violence in their own communities. Most refuse to even cooperate with police when trying to help them. So instead of actually communicating their grievances with police, they take to the streets and riot, pillage, or attempt to kill police officers. You may believe the lies that group shares, but their goal was never about the recognition of racial prejudices when they themselves refuse to make any attempt at peaceful negotiations. It's even more apparent when there are fellow African-American people who refuse to support the Black Lives Matter groups.

Communication goes both ways, but the police can only do so much from their end. The group needs to get their heads out of their asses and communicate, otherwise the fault lies with the group, not the police department.

I was thinking we did... Haha, smooth job, Timekeeper. XD

So yeah, Vashnik, just read Baconman's posts in there and it'll do a much better job than whatever I can write.

And awks... just heard news that there was another black guy shot by a cop. The guy was next to a mentally handicapped guy who was sitting on the ground. The black guy was lying on the ground with his hands in surrender, and was the handicapped guy's carer.
Ignoring BLM, we can't deny that people are dying as direct result of police, when they shouldn't be, and that needs to stop.

Last time was about BLM, this time feels more like whether or not it should be classified as a terrorist group.

That, and I mistakenly thought it was Timekeeper who instigated another thing elsewhere in another thread which involved an example of... oh, never mind. Screwed that one up awhile back.

    New Asylum game?

I'm being intentionally facetious, because, like I said, I'm trying to take a break from HoE. But, with regards to your original post, I don't think that was the intent of the thread and, frankly, I find the idea of classifying BLM as a terrorist group to be utterly ludicrous.

Like Mafiacow said, I still feel like all of my posts in the old thread still apply.

    @Mafiacow
They refuse to cooperate with police and refuse to distance themselves from anyone that's commits terrorism. They do nothing about the violence caused by the people they say "matter" but they're quick to blame police when violent criminals who happen to be black, are uncooperative and aggressive, threatening to police and public safety, are shot. When will they speak out against the criminal element within their ranks? If they refuse to denounce the domestic terrorists and give those terrorists up, then they themselves accept the terrorists actions and have accepted terrorism as an acceptable way to make a point, making themselves a domestic terrorist group by association. I find it ludicrous that people refuse to see what BLM has been doing and cling to this false ideology that these "protesters" are "peaceful" anymore. Do you think that Martin Luther King, Jr would approve of these people violently protesting? There are some African-Americans that completely disagree with the BLM movement and that's saying quite a bit about what BLM has become, not what they claimed they wanted to change.

And those are only samples. These REAL people are painting a very good picture that black lives don't matter to Black Lives Matter, like the group claims. True Americans, who happen to be of African decent, are proving that the "Black Lives Matter" is a facade. If that can't open your eyes to what that group has become, then there is no hope for anyone lead astray by those fools calling themselves BLM.

Probably because their group is not focusing on that. Instead, BLM is focusing on the fact that police are killing black people due to their skin colour, and that it needs to stop.

So, let's all blame the police for criminals fighting against police, escalating the problem and call these criminals "innocent" especially when police are executing an warrant for their arrest, but NOT put some focus on the fact they kill each other more often than police shooting an aggressive suspect, refusing to cooperate and have their time in jail. That's ignorance at it's finest. They should be focusing on the fact they kill each other first and root out the criminal element in their own communities before they start pointing fingers at police. So I refer back to my previous post: black lives don't matter to Black Lives Matter.

These non-BLM people know what the real problem is and they know police isn't the biggest threat to their safety while criminals in their own community run rampant throughout the streets. If black lives mattered to Black Lives Matter, they would be focusing on all or their worst problems facing the community, not just police.

Didn't read. Go read last thread if you want a rebuttal. I've kept up to date on the BLM movement and still feel that it all applies.

Still taking a break from HoE.

Don't quote/tag me in this thread, again. Not interested.

Hey, I'm just trying to play by the rules of this thread. Post for the fun of it. All I did earlier was mention that this thread felt a little bit different from the earlier said thread. So EXCUSE me for not realizing you were region-locked on the forum and not subject-locked.
Why the Hell did you think I didn't say anything seriously debate related anyway?

No matter. Like Hell he's going to read that.
No, I did not do anything to trigger a notification, so I can't get any flak for that.

I'm just going to put this here.
BLM Protester Hit By High Speed Car - Protesters Open Fire
    1. You don't fucking stand in the middle of the damn street to protest on an open road! You get permission first, so police can set up road blocks or provide an escort to provide safety for protesters. Sidewalks are fairly safe, roads are not!
    2. When someone hits a protester with a car, you don't fucking chase them down like a fucking mob and start shooting at them. They're going to flee, especially when you open fire on them instead of stopping and calling in the accident and staying at the scene of the accident until police arrive and take control of the scene, like a real civilized society should, and release the witnesses when statements have been made and the cops no longer need the witnesses there (basically, you're free to leave the scene if you desire).
The lesson here: don't be like that stupid moron in middle of the street.
