    Ben Wheatley's High-Rise has a new trailer

Here's the trailer, which features Tom Hiddleston narrating the madness that consumes his character.

Ben Wheatley just can't get enough of those light and fluffy subjects, can he? The heartwarming family dramas ofDown TerraceandKill List;A Field In England's Civil War delirium... Staying true to form (andwhatform), Mr. Wheatley's latest happy yarn is an adaptation of J.G. Ballard's novel,High-Rise. Its new teaser poster can be viewed in all its crimson glory below.

Taking place in 1975 (the same year the novel was published), Wheatley's fifth film follows the plight of Tom Hiddleston's Dr. Robert Laing. After moving into said high-rise looking for a bit of peace and quiet, he witnesses this micro-society coming apart at its debauched seams when the power goes out. First a quizzical eye-witness, Laing turns enabler as others attack the block's three-tier class system and the man (Jeremy Irons' architect Anthony Royal) at its apex.

As the first promo made clear, things don't necessarily go all that well...

    High-Riseis released on March 18, 2016.
