    Nominate 32 characters that fall into the anti-hero / anti-villain category.

    Anti-Hero - An antihero is a character who has the opposite of most of the traditional attributes of a hero. They may be bewildered, ineffectual, deluded, or merely apathetic. More often an antihero is just an amoral misfit. While heroes are typically conventional, anti-heroes, depending on the circumstances, may be preconventional (in a "good" society), postconventional (if the government is "evil") or even unconventional. Not to be confused with the Villain or the Big Bad, who is the opponent of Heroes (and Anti-Heroes, for that matter).

    Anti-Villain - The Anti-Villain is the opposite of an Anti-Hero - a villain with heroic goals, personality traits, and/or virtues. Their desired ends are mostly good, but their means of getting there are evil. Alternatively, their desired ends are evil, but they are far more ethical or moral than most villains and they thus use fairly benign means to achieve it, and can be rather heroic on occasion.

    Meh scar is a bit too "I must have vengance" blah blah blah for me.


    I prefer my anti characters to have more interesting motivations than that.

    I'm having trouble thinking of great anti characters. The only ones that come to mind now are the crew from Black Lagoon. Somebody help.

    Well Slaine from Aldnoah Zero is a decent nomination.
    There are a few guys in some of the Gundam series that could count.
    kaito Kid from detective conan technically counts since he's a thief but doing it for noble reasons.
    Hermit from Kenichi's mightiest disciple is kind of Generic but still a decent Anti-hero.
    Accelerator from Index and Railgun is a good Anti-Hero
    Hyobo Kyosuke from Zettai Karen Children is a good Anti-Villain.

    I might be able to think of more but that's all I can think of for now.

    Actually if anything he's an Anti Villain (People who label him an anti hero clearly don't know what the term means) but even that is short lived before he pretty much abandons all notions of helping people for becoming a god. He still counts though as a decent, if not over hyped, candidate.

    That list Spor posted is full of shit. I mean how the hell does Ichigo count as an Anti hero? All he ever talks about is "I want to protect everyone" and he risks his life for his comerads, friends, and strangers constantly. He's not even close to being a damn Anti-hero.

    Only instance I can think of is when he broke into Soul Society to save Rukia. He was motivated by what he felt to be the good thing to do and save his friend even though he broke a lot of laws in the process of entering and attempting to save her.

    But Soul Society were clearly being assholes at the time and being manipulated by Aizen so even though he was breaking the rules he was clearly the good guy. Plus what you said would make his Anti-villain at best (which still makes no sense) not anti hero which is what he's listed under in those links you provided. Which I'm not saying they didn't help at all just some of those entries clearly don't belong.
