Aniplex of America announced at its A-Kon panel on Saturday that it is dubbing the 2015 Charlotte television anime in English for its Blu-ray release. The series will be available in two volumes — Volume 1 on August 16 and Volume 2 on November 15.

Tony Oliver is directing the English dub, as previewed in a new trailer:

    The English dub stars:
Ray Chase (Magi, Durarara!!x2) as Yu Otosaka
Lauren Landa (Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Sword Art Online) as Nao Tomori
Lucien Dodge (Fate/Zero, Magi) as Jojiro Takajo
Ryan Bartley (Your Lie in April, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works) as Yusa and Misa Nishimori
Kira Buckland (Blue Exorcist, Aldnoah.Zero) as Ayumi Otosaka

Each of the two-disc Blu-ray volumes will feature Japanese and English dialogue tracks, English and Spanish subtitles, textless ending, web previews, a box illustrated by original character designer Na-Ga, and a BD case cover illustration by character designer Kanami Sekiguchi. The first 7-episode volume will add the "Beginning of a New 'Destiny'” interview with the creators. The second volume with six television episodes will add the extra episode (debuting first on home video), textless opening, web previews, English bloopers, and the English trailer. Both volumes will retail for US$94.98, discounted to US$74.98.

    Aniplex describes the story:
One day, a small percentage of adolescents start to experience an onset of special abilities. Yu Otosaka is one of these ability-wielders and he decides to use his power – the ability to take over any target's body for five seconds, to get accepted into a prestigious high school. Just when he is about to start his dream high school life as the popular honor student, a girl named Nao Tomori appears before him. Little does he know, this encounter reveals the cruel fate awaiting the special ability-wielders.

The series began streaming outside Japan last July on Hulu,Crunchyroll, Viewster, Daisuki, and the Aniplex Channel. Key released the anime in celebration of its 15th anniversary, and the series is Jun Maeda's second original anime work, with the first being Angel Beats! in 2010.
