The staff of Anime Expo announced on Thursday that the English dub of Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 3: Confession will premiere at the event at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 1. Dub actors Joshua Seth (Tai), Colleen O'Shaughnessey (Sora), and Jeff Nimoy (Tentomon) will be in attendance for a Q&A session.

The second film, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 2: Determination, will be available on DVD and Blu-ray Disc at the convention, ahead of its August 15 shipping date. Eleven Arts and Toei Animation premiered the English-dubbed version of the first film, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 1: Reunion, in theaters in the United States and Canada last September, but the second film has not had a premiere screening for its English dub.

Shout! Factory licensed the first three of the six Digimon Adventure tri. films for home video release in North America, and is collaborating with Toei Animation for the dub premiere at Anime Expo.

The first film opened in Japan in November 2015, the second in March 2016, the third in September 2016. The fourth film, Digimon Adventure tri.- Chapter 4: Loss, opened on February 25. The fifth film is slated for this year. Crunchyroll started streaming all four films with English subtitles on the same day they opened in Japan.

This year's Anime Expo convention will run from July 1 to July 4 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. In addition, the convention will formally include a preview night a day before on June 30.
