After the Rain Performs Clockwork Planet Anime's Ending Theme

The official Twitter account for the television anime adaptation of Yuu Kamiya and Tsubaki Himana's Clockwork Planet novels announced on Thursday that the musical duo After the Rain will perform the ending theme song "Anticlockwise." The song's single will ship in Japan on April 12.

The duo also announced on Thursday that they will perform the opening theme song "Kaidoku Funō" for the Atom The Beginning television anime series. That single will ship simultaneously with the "Anticlockwise" single.

The musical duo is composed of Soraru and Mafumafu. Soraru is in charge of vocals, mix, and mastering, while Mafumafu also performs vocals and composes music, writes lyrics, and arranges songs. The duo debuted with the album After Rain Quest in 2014. They released Kuro Crest Story in 2016, and the album attained the second spot on the Oricon weekly music chart. The musical unit performed the opening theme song "First End" for Reikenzan: Hoshikuzu-tachi no Utage last year.

fripSide (A Certain Scientific Railgun, Black Bullet) will perform Clockwork Planet's opening theme song. The series will premiere in April on TBS and BS-TBS.

Tsuyoshi Nagasawa (MM! , Nyaruko: Crawling with Love!) is directing the series at XEBEC. Kenji Sugihara (Shiki, Oreca Battle) is handling the series composition, Shuichi Shimamura (Nodame Cantabile, Chaos;HEAd) is the character designer, and Kenji Teraoka (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) is the mechanical designer. Shu Kanematsu, Hanae Nakamura, Kaori Nakano, and Satoshi Hōno are composing the music.

Kamiya and Himana launched the novel series with illustrations by Shino (Sunday Without God, Lance N' Masques) in 2013, and Kodansha published the fourth volume in December 2015. Kuro has been drawing a manga adaptation of the novels in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine since 2013, and Kodansha published the sixth volume on Friday. Kodansha Comics has licensed the manga series, and it describes the manga's first volume as follows:

Kamiya also wrote the No Game, No Life light novel series and drew the illustrations in A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives light novel series.​
