1st volume slated for September 25
Retailer Amazon is listing a release of After the Rain volume 1 from Vertical. The volume, previously listed as "Summer Rains," is slated for September 25. Vertical did not reply to ANN's request for confirmation by press time.

[IMG] Jun Mayuzuki's Koi wa Ameagari no You ni manga launched in Shogakukan's Monthly Big Comic Spirits in 2014 and transferred to Weekly Big Comic Spirits in early 2016, where it serialized a new chapter every other week until it ended on March 19. Shogakukan will publish the manga's tenth and final volume on April 27. The manga has 1.9 million copies in print.

The manga centers on 17-year-old high school student Akira Tachibana, a girl who barely expresses herself. She harbors a secret crush on Masami Kondō, the 45-year-old manager of the family restaurant she works at part-time.

The manga won the Best General Manga award at the 63rd Shogakukan Manga Awards in January. The manga was nominated for the ninth Manga Taisho awards in 2016, and was ranked #4 in the 2016 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) guidebook.

The manga's 12-episode television anime adaptation premiered on January 11 on the Noitamina programming block on Fuji TV. The show is streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime Video inside and outside of Japan, with the English title After the Rain.

The manga is also inspiring a live-action film that will premiere in Japan on May 25.
