Amazon is listing Kobashiko's Imōto Sae Ireba Ii.: Gaiden - Imōto ni Saenareba Ii! (A Sister's All You Need: Side Story - Becoming a Sister's All I Need!) spinoff manga of Yomi Hirasaka's A Sister's All You Need (Imōto Sae Ireba Ii.) light novel series as ending with the third volume. The volume is listed with a release date of February 20.

The spinoff manga focuses on Nayuta Kani, who falls in love with novel writer Itsuki Hashima through his literature. Since Itsuki likes little sisters and always features little sisters as the heroines in his novels, she decides that she needs to become a little sister to him.

Kobashiko launched the manga in Square Enix's Gangan Joker magazine in October 2016. Square Enix published the manga's second volume last September.

Hirasaka launched the novel series in 2015, with illustrations by Kantoku (The "Hentai" Prince and the Stony Cat.). The eighth volume shipped last September. Since 2015, Shogakukan's Gagaga Bunko imprint has published 850,000 copies of the light novel series' seven volumes. Yen Press licensed the novel series under the title A Sister's All You Need.

A television anime adaptation of the novel series premiered last October. Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan, and Funimation is offering an English dub.

Idu debuted a manga adaptation titled Imōto Sae Ireba Ii. @comic in Shogakukan's Sunday GX magazine in December 2015. Shogakukan published the manga's fourth volume last September.
