1st Saiyuki Reload Blast Volume in 3 Years Ships in August

The third compiled volume of Kazuya Minekura's Saiyuki Reload Blastmanga is slated to ship on August 31. It will be the first compiled volume for the series since the second volume shipped in July 2014. The August issue of Ichijinsha's Comic Zero-Sum magazine revealed last month that the volume will get a special edition with an all-color illustration and sketch booklet.

Saiyuki Reload Blast is the sequel to Minekura's Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload manga series. She launched the series in Comic Zero Sum in 2009 but slowed down her publication of the manga in 2013 due to her health.

The Saiyuki Reload Blast anime adaptation premiered this month. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs and Funimation will offer a simuldub.

The Saiyuki manga series has also spawned the Saiyuki Gaiden and Saiyuki Ibun manga spinoffs, as well as three other television anime series, an anime film, three OVA series, and a stage musical.
