Finally got a PS3 so for the last two days I've been playing Yakuza 3 and I got Yakuza 4 on standby they announced Yakuza 5 for worldwide release that's gonna be sometime in Q4 of this year. So late this year and early next year is gonna be busy. Still waiting on the Western release of the HD versions of 1&2 ( I have 2 for the PS2 and I played 1)

I thoroughly enjoyed Old World Blues. I also enjoyed Dead Money, especially the characters and story, but the whole thing with the radios and holograms just got stupidly annoying at times. In the vault, especially, the radio-gimmick paired with the invincible holograms just became too much to bear. It became less challenging and more just a stupid mechanic that you have to put up with. I also had a glitch when trying to escape the vault that caused me to be unable to walk through an open door.

But, other than those complaints, solid DLC. I'm about to do Lonesome Road (which I have played before) and then the battle at Hoover Dam, finishing up my first Hardcore Mode play through.

I need to get New Vegas on steam soon. I've always wanted to play the DLC for it and might actually beat it this time. I wasn't as big of a fan of New Vegas. I loved Fallout 3 (it's one of my favorite games) and New Vegas didn't have the same feel 3 had IMO.

It certainly doesn't have the same feel, and I was originally put off, coming from Fallout 3. But give it another try. It took a second play through for me to really get into it.

It's basically Fallout 2, as done by Bethesda. It re-introduces some old stats and mechanics and lore from Fallout 1 & 2 (mostly 2). They also refined the leveling and combat system.

Old World blues is really great, probably my favourite NV expansion. Great rewards to be had, and uncharacteristically funny. The opening conversation with the Think Tank always tickles me, and just about everything that comes out of Muggy or the Toaster is pure gold. Also, the Sink makes an excellent home base, not least because you can reach it even when overburdened!

I kinda get what you're coming from re: Dead Money, the whole area is stressful, especially the first time through. But then, I think it's intentional- it's meant to pressure you, make you rush through. You're right though, it's not as tough as it seems at a glance. And once you understand that, in general, with the speakers and the cloud, your best bet is usually to double down, it becomes less stressful.
I like the story and the characters here too, but I'd add that the setting and environment add to it nicely too.

I'm coming to the end of Dead Money myself right now. It's always really satisfying to break out of the vault at the end, taking all the gold with you despite the weight limits! XD

Not sure where I'll go after Dead Money, I have Honest Hearts and Lonesome Road still to do, and I left a huge chunk of the main game to play before I started the expansions, too, so I'm spoiled for choice, really.

I loved Fallout 3 too, playing convinced me to get New Vegas. For me though, I like New Vegas more. They added some cool features that make it more interesting over time. Plus, each of the DLC expansions add new variety, great rewards, and boost the player level cap by 5 (for a total of twenty). I would say give it a go, at least if you can get it cheap.

The thing was was that I liked all the new stuff added to it, and that you didn't get to pick a perk at every level, so it balanced things out more. I just hated the setting a lot. It was too barren and it didn't leave as much of an impact as Fallout 3 did IMO. Still a really good game and I'll get it if it ever goes on sale again anytime soon (and if I have the money at the time).

I have to agree. The capital wasteland was created on top of a large city and its surrounding cities. New Vegas took a wasteland and put it on top of.. well, a wasteland. The Mojave is already pretty sparse, so the war making it even more sparse certainly does make for a feeling of emptiness.

You'll just have to run with it. It's not as empty as it seems at first, but it certainly requires more effort than Fallout 3 to discover everything.

I been playing this and WM18 on Wii a lot lately. Those games are 12-13 years old and so much better than the games we get now.

So, I finished my NV hardcore mode run. I had fun. I really enjoyed hardcore mode. I feel like it could use a ton of refinement (hopefully they will refine and include it in Fallout 4) but still added a bit of life to the game, a sense of scavenging and surviving in the wasteland.

I really enjoyed the DLC. I played Old World Blues and Dead Money for the first time. In all I'd say Old World Blues is my favorite, followed by Honest Hearts, then Dead Money, then Lonesome Road.

I've finally gotten around to picking up Dragon Age: Inquisition, again. I'm about to finish the game, after taking a long break from it. Honestly, it's a great game but, by the end, I'm just ready to finish it. There's so much stuff in the game, that it honestly become tiresome and not really worth it to pursue all of the content.

Got a slew of games over the past month. Slowly working my way through them.

DW7 (not the XL version) doesn't work. It crashes my ps3 after a few missions into a character's story mode, so I'll have to get another one unfortunately. I also got Neptunia Rebirth 3 for my Vita.

Currently playing Borderlands The Pre Sequel, Rebirth 3, and I am also just about done with the Platinum trophy for Rocket League, which I had the pleasure to play online yesterday with popular youtuber Nyanners.

Finished a Dragon Age: Inquisition. Enjoyable, for sure. But I won't be coming back to it for a while.

Finally got Command and Conquer to run properly (and at a decent resolution) on my PC. So I'm playing that off and on (Nod campaign).

I'm currently playing the **** out of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I love that game. I mean, your beard grows over time! How cool is that?! And the dialogue is just great.

I'm about half way through Brothers, a tale of two sons. It's different and I know its a shorter game so I've been taking my time. I've also started an older game called Jurassic, The Hunted. It's ok but I'm stuck on a certain part a few chapters in.

Just finished The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. I loved it. Easily the best RPG in recent years, to my mind.

Now I'm back to playing Fallout 2 and a bit of Command and Conquer. Considering trying to get MechWarrior 3 to work on my PC or doing another play through of Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask.

I just finished Resident Evil REmake HD and I absolutely loved it. It improved on the original and is a fine example of what re-makes and re-releases should be. Possibly my favorite Resident Evil game, with RE4 as a strong second.

About to start playing Cities: Skylines.

I started Borderlands The Pre-sequel a few days ago. Not a big fan of running in slow-motion almost constantly, but it's ok, just as not as good as the 1st two.

So I beat Fallout 3 again and pretty much wrapped up New Vegas. I was using that nifty mod that put's the former game into the later game's updated engine. Good stuff, ironsights and somehow crash free.

In the mood for more sandbox games so I decided to try my hand on something slightly older in Oblivion. I haven't touched the game in years. I didn't really care for the much newer Skyrim. Looking around for some mods and I think I got a good setup for another go. This game is pretty strict with the mods though, if you mess up the whole thing crashes on my more then Fallout ever did.

Currently playing Far Cry 4. It's pretty good but has some serious flaws.

Also, I gave Borderlands 2 a try the other day. It's also pretty good. :3
