Along with the fifth season finale of the My Hero Academia anime, we now have confirmation of the sixth season. The official series Twitter account confirmed that a sixth season is on the way.

The sixth season will adapt the “Paranormal Liberation War” arc of the My Hero Academia manga by Kohei Horikoshi. As the eighteenth story arc in the manga total, “Paranormal Liberation Arc” will see a full on war between the heroes and villains we have followed in the series so far. This arc in the manga runs from chapter 253 to chapter 306. The anime’s first season originally started airing in April 2016 and also included its 100th episode.

My Hero Academia Film Coming in October
With the end of the fifth season, we can look forward to the release of the third My Hero Academia movie] in October. My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission initially released in Japan in August 2021. It will premiere in North American theaters on October 29, 2021.

The movie synopsis from AMC reads:

“When a sinister organization threatens to wipe out all superhuman powers, the fate of the world is on the line. With two hours until the collapse of civilization, Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki manage to work as a team, but there’s still one problem. Deku’s on the run for murder.”

I'm looking forward to this. I just hope it's better than S5. Which was probably the worst MHA season thus far.

Well it's because literally nothing exciting happened in S5 and then they tried to make us feel sorry for and cheer for the villains.

    Yeah... I don't think so. o_O

I mean, you're allowed to sympathise with someone's circumstances even if they do bad things. Or do you mean 'cause they're just shitty characters?

I actually enjoyed the villains antics much more than the heroes in S5. There was just much more content. Great seeing how much they could grow as well. Showing that the bad guys are working hard as well is a nice idea, it brings them to a more realistic standard. Just like the hero kids they too must adapt and overcome difficulties. Those levelled up abilities are great too. I actually cared more about this than watching Deku learn his shoot style.
It helped that Sugita made an appearance as well so I'm looking forward to more of his characters appearance.

I was expecting a bit more from what was labelled as the year of Shinso. Hoping for some more of him as well.

When an Anime can evolve and reveal both sides of the spectrum of good and evil… makes you want to explore even more of that universe…
