The third compiled book volume of Nanatsu Mukunoki's Watashi ni Tenshi ga Maiorita! (An Angel Flew Down to Me!) manga revealed on Friday that the series is getting a television anime adaptation. An official website for the adaptation also opened to reveal a teaser visual and the anime's main staff.

The anime is reuniting staff members who worked together on the New Game! anime. Daisuke Hiramaki (episode director for Yuruyuri San Hai!, Shirobako, New Game!) is directing the series at Doga Kobo (Tada Never Falls in Love, Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun). Hiromi Nakagawa (chief animation director for Himouto! Umaruchan, Rewrite) is designing the characters, and Yuka Yamada (Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, My Sweet Tyrant) is in charge of series composition.

The four-panel comedy manga's story centers on Miyako Hoshino, a shy college student and otaku. Miyako's younger sister Hinata, who is a fifth grader, has a classmate and friend named Hana. When they meet, Miyako falls for Hana at first sight.

Mukunoki launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Himemagazine in 2016, and the publisher released the second compiled book volume in November.

@Supernatural-Knight Why does it feel like ever since Citrus we've now suddenly gotten a fuckton of yuri anime announcements?

Because we have @Sir-Maddy ever since Citrus was announced and NTR beat it to the punch. So much yuri crap recently. But the real question is: will this one be any good?
With the exception of Sakura Trick[?] I've watched all the yuri you've suggested while airing and they were absolute shit. This one has some promising staff and the bio mentions an otaku so I'm very curious.

Give me a PV or a real reason to watch this, then we'll talk.

Absolutely not, but at least it won't look like shit.

You know why it's shit? Because they're picking the shittiest manga to adapt. The ones that are really popular are the shittiest. Btw if you're going into Happy Sugar Life expecting something good, lower those expectations. Thankfully we've got Bloom Into You in October, and I can vouch that the source material is good (I'm reading it). Plot sounds like absolute garbage but I promise you there's more to it.

OH AND KASE-SAN IS ALSO GOOD AND I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT EVEN THOUGH THEY CUT OUT THE IMPLIED SEX SCENE
