Shonen Jump teases 3 possible cast groups who will sing new theme
[IMG]This year's 15th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine partially revealed the new ending theme song artists on Monday for the second anime season based on Shūichi Asō's The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. (Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan) manga. Psychic Lover, the music group that also composes the music for the series, is performing the new ending theme song.

The issue also teased that the theme songs will feature one of three groups of voice cast members. The "featuring Saiki Household" group includes voice actors Mitsuo Iwata, Rikako Aikawa, Kenji Nojima, and Hiroshi Kamiya. The "featuring beasts + Kusuo" group includes voice actors Mikako Komatsu, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, and Kamiya. Finally, the "featuring PK Academy Psykickers" group includes voice actors Natsuki Hanae, Eri Kitamura, and Kamiya. The new opening and ending theme songs will debut in the anime on April 10, and the episode will reveal which of the three groups will perform the ending theme.

The 14th issue had revealed last week that four-member rock band Shiggy Jr. (RIN-NE 2, Rilu Rilu Fairilu ~Yōsei no Door~) will perform the show's new opening theme song "Oteage Psychics" (Psychics Who Have Given Up Hope).

The anime premiered on January 16. The series is listed with 24 episodes.

Hiroaki Sakurai (Di Gi Charat, Maid Sama!) is returning to direct the anime at EGG FIRM and J.C. Staff. Masayuki Onji (Kimi to Boku., Aoi Hana) is also returning as the character designer. Hiroshi Kamiya, Daisuke Ono, and Nobunaga Shimazaki are performing the current opening theme song "Silent Prisoner" as their characters alongside Psychic Lover. Dempagumi.inc are performing the current ending theme song "Sai Hakkenden" for the anime.

The manga centers on a high school boy named Kusuo Saiki. He possesses supernatural powers that cause unfortunate events in his everyday life.

The first season premiered in July 2016. Funimation streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan, and also streamed an English broadcast dub for the series.

The manga also inspired a live-action film that opened in Japan last October. The film earned 194 million yen (about US$1.7 million) to rank at #2 during its opening weekend.

Asō ended his original Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan manga on February 26, but launched a four-panel sequel for the manga on March 5.
