Jigoku no Sata All Stars to perform opening theme
[IMG]The official website for the anime based on Natsumi Eguchi's Hozuki's Coolheadedness (Hōzuki no Reitetsu) manga revealed on Thursday that the second season's second cour (quarter-year) will premiere on April 7. The anime will broadcast on Tokyo MX1, Sun TV, BS11, and KBS Kyoto at 1:00 a.m. The show will also stream simultaneously on AbemaTV, and air two days later on AT-X.

The official website also revealed on Thursday that the Jigoku no Sata All Stars (Hell's Affairs All Stars), is performing the show's opening theme song, "Haikei, Jigoku Yori" (Dear, From Hell). Jigoku no Sata All Stars is a group of the series' cast members: Hiroki Yasumoto (Hōzuki), Takashi Matsuyama (Rurio), Hiroki Gotou (Kakisuke), Takashi Nagasako (Enma Daiō), Yumiko Kobayashi (Shiro), Satomi Satou (Ichiko), Yui Ogura (Niko), and Atsumi Tanezaki (Karashi). The group also performed the first and second season's opening themes, "Jigoku no Sata mo Kimi Shidai" and "Dai! Jigoku Jigobushi," respectively.

Sumire Uesaka will perform the ending theme song for the second season's second cour. Uesaka voices Peach Maki in the series.

[IMG]The second season of Hozuki's Coolheadedness premiered on October 7, and Sentai Filmworks streamed the first cour on HIDIVE as it aired in Japan.

Kazuhiro Yoneda (Mahou Shoujo Nante Mouiidesukara., Yona of the Dawn) took over for Hiro Kaburagi as director for the second season. Production moved from Wit Studio to Studio DEEN. Jirō Omatsuri replaced Hirotaka Katō as character designer in the second season. Midori Gotou is again writing the scripts and TOMISIRO is again composing the music.

The manga inspired a 13-episode television anime series that premiered in January 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released the series on home video in February 2015 under the title Hozuki's Coolheadedness. The manga also inspired three OADs that shipped with the 17th, 18th, and 19th volumes of the manga in 2015. A new OAD shipped with a limited edition of the manga's 24th volume last March, and it featured animation from Studio DEEN and Yoneda as director.

Kodansha Comics is releasing the manga digitally, and it describes the story:

In the afterlife, there exists Heaven and Hell. Hell consists of the Eight Greater Hells and the Eight Cold Hells, which are further divided into 272 subdivisions. Spearheading the seemingly endless, multifarious affairs in this gargantuan Hell is but one Fierce God, King Enma's first aide, Hozuki. Between this cool-headed sadist and his colorful band of peers, every day is a riot in Hell! And though this book might make Hell seem like a happening place, please try to behave during life!
Eguchi launched the manga in Kodansha's Morning magazine in 2011, and Kodansha shipped the 25th volume on September 22. The 26th volume will ship on March 23.
