Denied Need help with a new member role term!

Since we're now a Network and not JustDubs, Justdubian is not fitting anymore. I need help coming up with a new term.
User is to plain.
Member is to common.
I thought of different races using the perk system.

So I need help!
Post below what do you think about the race idea and/or if you don't like it mind posting a new term?

Just some of my quick ideas. Would be nice to choose a specific race term. But 3 (4, if "...." counts) in the above post are not really sticking to me.

JANitor is what we should be called.


But I liked the idea of being called a Subtopian or Dubtopian depending on our preferences.

 

Hahaha I like that, Core's 'Just a Member' made me chuckle as well.
yeah, you can add them all by code then select them whenever you want. "Today I feel like being a subtopian" just edit your trophy list and add the Subtopian perk to show boom Subtopian.

Again that is if users want this.
The default will be the best term.

 

Eh, call us "Lurkers" by default, then we can change it based on preference.
"Dubian" for dubs, "Subian' for subs.
"Seeders" for uploaders/content writers/posters (generic contributor).
"Reviewer" for the ones that like reviewing on occasion. (This can either be added next to or replaced by Critic).
"Critic" for the ones that like critiquing content on a regular basis. (This can either be added next to or replaced by Reviewer).
"Donor" for those who have donated in the past, or currently donating. (A permanent bonus to any perk a user has or had in the past, maybe?)

That's all I have so far... and some of them are probably going to depend on how the system will work and whether they can be implemented or not.

Loadies - content mangers ETC....
Pansys - Village Idiots
Rainmakers - Donors (Get it cause JAN is like a stripper and we are making it Rain!?) or is that to pervy?


I cannot think of anything else At the moment but I am sure I can think of some more...

 

for the new members, ill take @Core's idea and change it to Just Joined. ive been here for a long time and i would like to retain the title "Just".

 

I copyrighted that, so you are not allowed to do it. And while I am at it, I'll copyright the word "React" on YouTube also.

Similar to Just a Member idea. Maybe more Positive?

I'm going to tag those who liked the idea of different race terms as that won the majority of the votes.
(I kinda understand why Spor has yet to post the awards hardly any activity. lol)
I dropped Seeders as that describes a staff potion.
Edit: Going to redesign Donator instead of a "j" it's going to be a heart instead.

You should add "Uploader" for the staff, they are helpful people to me when it comes to downloads.

Maybe JustAShower or JustAGrower for them since they show the stuff, (or they grow more links).

 

The reason I used seeders was to imply an active participant in the community, and not necessarily a staff member. Instead of the torrent-type use, it would be more in the sense that these contributors would "plant" the idea of participating in the community and share the site with friends. We already know that staff contribute (and are easily recognized with access to all the perks), but it would be great to see non-staff contributors have access to the Seeders "race" as well. Since contributors are capable of "seeding" perhaps a play on the "planting theme" for Staff members (specifically the content managers), a good race would be "Gardener", since the staff are more likely to tend to the links, and "trim" the dead ones.

Still pretty good stuff though.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone! Spor decided to go with "Member" and the races have been shelved. The outcome is I redesigned the roles to accommodate the new races but since that was scrapped I still plan on using the design.

Ah it's fine, Someday they will pop up like the perks did not make the cut at first till I had to change a few things about the concept...
