Her Blood Drips Slowly...

The sun cast cast eerie shadows on the blood covered walls and painted the floor in a warm glow of sunshine. Ashley held her breath as she heard the creaking of the floorboards. Those footsteps were coming closer, closer and closer. They were coming for her now that they had already killed her brother. She still couldn't believe he was gone. She hunched closer to the wall, willing the footsteps to go away. Please, she screamed in her head, please don't come any closer. A loud groan made her gasp in surprise, did they know she was here? she scrambled under the living room table, trying not look over at James's ripped up body, she couldn't help it. The boy was definitely dead. His blood was all but covering that side of the room, the whole side of his face had been chewed apart, his stomach was ripped open. Ashley squeezed her eyes shut. Please make this nightmare stop, God, please. If your out there, just make this all go away. The living room door slammed open. She nearly screamed. That's when He came, more accurately: it. Because at first Ashley couldn't even see how it was once human, blood and gore oozed from holes and cracks in his skin. Black matter was trailing down his face from his eye sockets, his eyes were completely gone as was his lower jawbone. The man stumbled drunkenly toward the table, arms groping for support. He fell, releasing a scream that rang Ashley's eardrums, she pushed the table over and made a run for the door. The creature swung around surprisingly fast and lunged at her back. She knew it was over, she knew she was going to die. She fell to the ground with the creature on top of her, clawing at her face and arms as she raised them to protect her eyes. She could hear herself scream, the creature was laughing or close enough to it that it left no doubt in her mind that it was mocking her. She tried to roll over but was pinned down, the creature hissed at her and sank it's fangs into her arm. She stopped. She stopped struggling, she stopped moving, she stopped screaming, and she stopped thinking. The only thing that flashed in her mind was the fact that she had asked God to end this nightmare, and in a way He had, it was pretty ironic, she had time to think as the creature ripped and tore into her paralyzed body. It was The End.. Now and Forever
