I've always liked "The Longest Day", it's really good if you are in the mood for a longer sitting. Once the action gets going it's really good for it's time. They used every trick they knew about cinema. That single shot scene with the French commandos attacking that building was really impressive.

That must have been really difficult to shoot and it looks authentic too. Of course you can't go wrong with the old school sound effects of machinguns and explosions adding to the mix. They had all sorts of big name actors too.

Another favorite of mine is "Von Ryan's Express". Frank Sinatra plays as a American pow who leads escaping pows using a train. They have to trick gestapo agents and avoid even friendly bombers to make the break to safety. I won't spoil the ending, I thought it incredibly fitting.

I totally forgot about the Longest Day, I haven't seen it in years but always remember the scene where that one character gets his parachute caught on that bell tower and ends up losing his hearing because of the constant tolling of the bells.

Will have to watch Von Ryan's Express, sounds good and with Frank Sinatra in it , it must be!!

I liked it. It was slow, but that only showed you just how gritty and violent things were.

Shifting back to T.V a bit, was scouring youtube and ran into scenes from "The Apprentice" shows with Donald Trump. Actually seemed kind of interesting. Well the firing parts anyway :)

Welp, this thread kept going without me. Lol might as well watch it!

A shame to say the last movie I have seen was Frozen with my boyfriend! I only watched it because he wanted to. We have been mainly watching Disney movies lately!

Have you seen Zootopia yet? If so, is it good?

As for me, I've been watching the Sopranos. I found this scene rather amusing

I just watched Lincoln with Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Fields, was pretty good. Also watched Civil War and liked it's intense psychoanalysis of the characters even though the action(except for the last fight seen between Cap and Iron Man which was a emotionally driven slugfest) was very boring and weak.

I'll watch Zootopia eventually. I really want to see it, but I am focusing on reading right now. I am almost finished with Inkspell.
