Dagashi Kashi

You can be whatever you want to be... unless your daddy says no. Kokonotsu Shikada is a young, aspiring manga author. Although he understands the difficulties of his aspirations, he just isn't ready to give up on his dream. However, his father, who owns a small sweets shop in the countryside, is hell-bent on forcing Kokonotsu to take over for him to continue the family legacy.

If dealing with his father's expectations isn't hard enough, the sudden appearance of a strange, young girl, Hotaru, complicates Kokonotsu's life even further. Hotaru is the heiress to a famous sweets company in Japan. She seeks out Kokonotsu's father's help, as he is apparently some sort of legend in the industry. The two form a pact: If Hotaru can convince Kokonotsu to take over the family business, then in exchange, Kokonotsu's father will agree to join her company. Let the games begin!
